Cure

A watercolor painting about cures of the stomach ache I did in Jason Holley's Image and Idea class. It's an old Asian thing. You massage the blood of your arm to your hand, then you tie a string around your thumb, then you prick your thumb with a needle. Dark blood comes out and your stomach feels better. Scout's honor...

These are terrible photos, I'm hoping to find a huge scanner somewhere sometime soon.












































I'm had so much fun with this that I decided to create a series of Cures. I'll post them up as soon as possible.

Burlesque bar

We did an in-class drawing of a model (I always forget her name..) as a burlesque dancer. We had to complete the drawing in composition and idea. At the time, I couldn't remember what this model was supposed to be, so I decided to put her inside a bar with two men. I have accidentally turned a dancer into a tacky bar flirt!!
